About Us
Mount Zion Church is a small church with a passionate congregation that believes God calls us to love and serve. We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus and as such, we serve those in our local and global community to those who have physical, emotional, economic, and spiritual needs.
We practice the Great Commandment to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind and to love our neighbor as ourselves. At the heart of everything we do is the understanding that we are all children of God and equally worthy of His love and grace. Join us for a church service.
What We Believe
We are called to be the Church…to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen, our judge and our hope. We join with Christians around the world who unite around creeds and statements of basic belief.
We are drawn to the words of A New Creed from The United Church of Canada.
We are not alone,
we live in God’s world.
We believe in God:
who has created and is creating,
who has come in Jesus,
the Word made flesh,
to reconcile and make new,
who works in us and others
by the Spirit.
We trust in God.
We are called to be the Church:
to celebrate God’s presence,
to live with respect in Creation,
to love and serve others,
to seek justice and resist evil,
to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen,
our judge and our hope.
In life, in death, in life beyond death,
God is with us.
We are not alone.
